The dragon sleeps below the land… yielding an abundant harvest on the land when sleeping, but bringing disaster when it awakes. Every decade or every few hundred of years, the dragon moves its body as it tosses about unconsciously. The movement becomes a distortion and causes impurity. This impurity then lavishes an evil on the people.Now, there is strong indication of a huge distortion. The gods foresaw that the greatest harm would strike Japan, and so divided up their powers to bestow them on a messenger of the gods. It then was the Shinshi`s task to gather mediums, Magica, who could expel the impurity. And so with the power of the gods as magical weapon, the Magica fight to stop the evils in Japan.
