Spurned by the villagers because of their strange powers, Yonna and her older brother Stan are now living alone in an isolated and abandoned castle. While a small and winged Piggott attempts to sweet-talk Stan into accepting an offer to leave the security of their home to serve the Empire in the capital, another government agent arrives with instructions to approach Yonna and make a special appeal to her.
